Healthy Cocktail Recipe: Baked Apple Fizz

There’s nothing better than meeting up with old friends during the holiday season and laughing about the crazy things y’all used to do as you sip on a cocktail or two. But what cocktail can you enjoy that won’t ruin your weight loss results you’ve been working so hard to achieve for your wedding coming up in the next few months?

This Baked Apple Fizz cocktail recipe is one you are going to love! It’s easy to make and perfect for all you martini lovers. This recipe uses a Baked Apple Puree as a healthy substitute for traditional sugar or simple syrup- resulting in a decrease in the total amount of sugar and calories in the drink. The sweetness of the cinnamon and apple pairs perfectly with the tartness of the vodka to make it a memorable holiday drink. Follow the easy two-part recipe below and let us know how it is!

Baked Apple Fizz Healthy Cocktail Recipe

Ingredients:

  • 1.5 oz Vodka
  • 0.25 oz Lemon Juice
  • Club Soda to taste
  • 2 oz Baked Apple Puree
    • 3 Apples, such as Honey Crisp, peeled and cut into chucks
    • 1 cup water, divided
    • 1 tsp Vanilla Extract
    • 1/4 tsp Nutmeg
    • 1/4 tsp Cinnamon

Directions:

Part 1: Create your Baked Apple Puree

  1. Put apples and 1 part water in a sauce pan and cook over medium heat for 15-20 minutes.
  2. Once apples are soft, puree apple mixture in a food processor.
  3. Put apple puree, 1 part water, vanilla extract, nutmeg, and cinnamon in a sauce pan and bring to a boil.
  4. Once boiling, reduce heat and simmer for 30-45 minutes.

Part 2: Mix liquid ingredients with your Baked Apple Puree

  1. Using a cocktail shaker, mix together vodka, lemon juice, and Baked Apple Puree. Shake together.
  2. Using a strainer, pour liquid from mixture into a highball glass and fill with club soda.
  3. Garnish with a cinnamon stick and enjoy!
